Andrew Sanford Founder and domain manager of the Earth Alternatives website, Andrew graduated with an B.A. Honours degree in Human Environment (Geography) and a M.Env. in Environmental Assessment from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. His interest in environmental issues, particularly biodiversity conservation, ecological economics, sustainable development, and environmental history, is the result of an unconventional path in life that has taken him to several continents and led him to hitchhike over 50,000 kilometers in North America. He has experience applying the Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards in the context of project finance transactions in the mining and infrastructure sectors and has worked internationally providing environmental and business analysis for major projects in the extractive sector.
